Tyde Richards has over 20 years of experience in the development of learning-related technology, including positions with the USC University Library and Center for Scholarly Technology, the Apple Computer Advanced Technology Group, the Macromedia Interactive Learning Division, and IBM Software Group. Throughout his career he has had an interest in learning technology interoperability, participating in the ADL Technical Working Group that defined the Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) and coordinating IBM's global learning technology standardization efforts for five years before joining Eduworks. At Eduworks, Tyde has worked on XML SCORM Studio and has developed a version of Open Document Format for use as an XML interchange language for learning content. Tyde also represents the Advanced Distributed Learning initiative in the international standards arena and is facilitating the federation for Learning, Education and Training Systems Interoperability (www.letsi.org). Tyde holds an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Southern California. |
