Dr. Tom Wrensch has worked as a Research Scientist in the Artificial Intelligence Group at Johnson Controls, a consultant and mentor in the use of Smalltalk, and a professor at University of the Pacific. Tom holds several degrees in Computer Science and earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Colorado for his work on end-user programming of ubiquitous computationally-enriched materials. His research has included ubiquitous computing, artificial intelligence, and proactive human-computer interfaces. He has designed and developed five programming languages, two for industry customers, two for research, and one just for fun. Tom has written three books in Computer Science and has been involved in several startups, including his recent venture as co-founder and CEO of Black Dog Innovation. |
