Evaluating an Opportunity for an Investment House |

SCENARIO: An investment house had been working with a company that publishes educational software products for the K-12 market. The company uses a team of developers in a different country. That team created a content authoring tool that implemented some emerging standards. Having invested the time and money to create this tool, the team would like to productize it. The company and the investors want to know if this is a viable project with a potential market and how much further investment would be needed. An assessment of this type requires a combination of technical expertise in e-learning technology and knowledge of the e-learning product space and market.
SOLUTION: Eduworks evaluated the technology, identified possible market strategies and made recommendations in the form of a formal and verbal report. RESULT: Eduworks recommended not to go forward with prioritization. Although disappointing, this was of great use to the client. |
