Eduworks collectively refers to Eduworks Corporation, an Oregon C-corporation established in 2001 to pursue consulting and government funded research and development activities, and to Eduworks Software, LLC, formed in 2007 as the commercial products and services unit of Eduworks. Eduworks Software LLC Managing Member Robby Robson is an internationally recognized innovator and researcher in online learning and a leader in the learning technology standards community. Robby has extensive experience leading research teams that developed innovative technologies for computational number theory, Web-based learning and training, and digital libraries. He has chaired the IEEE Learning Technology Standards Committee since 2000, and served as director of product management at Saba, Inc. Robby holds a Ph.D. in mathematics from Stanford University, and spent 15 years as a faculty member and administrator at Oregon State University. Robby co-founded Eduworks Corporation in 2001 and Eduworks Software, LLC in 2007. Rich Carone LLC Member Rich Carone is CEO of Korvis Automation, Inc. Rich began his career with Hewlett Packard in the late seventies, and was the manager of the software group that produced the HP 12C calculator, still the industry standard 25 years later. In 1981, he co-founded and was Vice President of Intelledex, an early robotics company. In 1985, Rich co-founded Accu-Fab Systems, and for 10 years was General Manager of this highly successful producer of custom robotic systems. In 1994, Accu-Fab was sold to ATS Systems, and Rich was General Manager of the West Coast and Asian Divisions of ATS until 2001. Rich spent 2001 through early 2003 as a General Partner with Pacific Horizon Ventures, a Venture Capital firm specializing in Life Sciences Investments, before joining Korvis as Executive Chairman. Patrick McElroy VP Marketing & Sales Pat McElroy brings decades of sales and marketing strategy and leadership in the education and training technology markets to Eduworks, including leading Oracle’s higher education marketing team. Pat has provided business strategy services to numerous educational and training technology companies and is the author of a white paper on digital content markets for a congressional advisory committee that became the foundation of their report to Congress. As a consultant, Pat helped Eduworks prepare for transformation from an R&D consultancy to a commercial products and services company. Pat joined the company full time in 2008 to lead its sales and marketing efforts. Martin Hald VP of Research and Development Martin Hald is a lead Java developer with a rich background in Internet technologies, Web applications and large scale systems. He served as the Senior Developer and Strategic Analyst for XDrive and has built software providing services that range from real-time monitoring to large scale hosting operations and data analytics. Martin has been involved in standards and open source projects and has worked in digital libraries and new ways to improve tagging and finding content.
